Welcome to Clinical Compass. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our educational clinical decision support platform. Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service.
⚠️ Important: Educational Use Only
Clinical Compass is NOT HIPAA-compliant and is intended solely for educational and clinical decision support purposes. This platform must NOT be used to store Protected Health Information (PHI) or identifiable patient data. All case entries must use de-identified information only (case IDs, age ranges, no names or dates of birth).
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using Clinical Compass, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Service.
2. Description of Service
Clinical Compass is an educational clinical decision support tool designed to assist healthcare providers in managing pediatric ADHD and Bipolar Disorder treatment through evidence-based algorithms, medication databases, and treatment planning resources.
The Service provides:
De-identified case management and tracking
ADHD and Bipolar Disorder medication databases with dosing information
Evidence-based treatment algorithms and protocols
Differential diagnosis guidance
Educational resources for providers
Clinical decision support tools
3. Eligibility and User Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and a licensed healthcare provider, medical student, or healthcare professional in training to use this Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:
You are legally qualified to practice medicine or are enrolled in an accredited healthcare training program
All information you provide during registration is accurate and current
You will maintain the security of your account credentials
You will immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Prohibited Uses and Data Restrictions
You agree NOT to use Clinical Compass for any of the following purposes:
Storing PHI: Do not enter patient names, dates of birth, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, medical record numbers, or any other identifiable information
Medical Records System: This platform is not a substitute for electronic health records (EHR) or practice management systems
Direct Patient Care Documentation: Do not use this tool as your primary documentation system for billable patient encounters
Diagnosis or Treatment Decisions: Do not rely solely on this tool for clinical diagnosis or treatment decisions without independent clinical judgment
Emergency Situations: Do not use this platform for emergency medical situations requiring immediate intervention
Unauthorized Access: Do not attempt to access other users' accounts or data
Automated Systems: Do not use bots, scrapers, or automated systems to access the Service without written permission
5. Subscription Plans and Payment
5.1 Free Tier
The Free tier allows users full access to medication databases and treatment algorithms for ten days. No payment information is required for the Free tier. After the trial, users must actively subscribe to continue access.
5.2 Paid Tier
The Paid Tier allows users full access to medication databases and treatment algorithms indefinitely. The user has the option to subscribe to either the ADHD or Bipolar platform for $10/month or the user can opt to subscribe to both platforms for $15/month.
5.3 Payment Terms
All payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Refunds are provided on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All content, features, functionality, and materials available through Clinical Compass, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, algorithms, medication databases, and software, are owned by Clinical Compass or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal educational and clinical decision support purposes.
You may not: Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from our software
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
Use our content for commercial purposes without written permission
7. Medical Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Clinical Compass is an educational tool and does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The information provided through this Service is for educational and informational purposes only and should not replace professional medical judgment.
You acknowledge and agree that:
No Doctor-Patient Relationship: Use of this Service does not create a doctor-patient relationship between you and Clinical Compass or its operators
Clinical Judgment Required: All treatment decisions must be based on your independent clinical assessment and professional judgment
Verify Information: You are responsible for verifying all medication dosing, contraindications, and treatment protocols through primary sources before clinical application
No Guarantee of Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all information is current, complete, or error-free
Consult Primary Sources: Always consult FDA-approved prescribing information, clinical practice guidelines, and peer-reviewed literature
7.1 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADHD CLINICAL COMPASS AND ITS OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
Your use or inability to use the Service
Any errors or omissions in the content provided
Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or your personal information
Any clinical decisions made based on information from the Service
Any patient harm resulting from use of this tool
8. Data Retention and Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon account deletion, all your de-identified case data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. We may retain anonymized usage data for analytics purposes.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:
You violate these Terms of Use
You store PHI or identifiable patient information
You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
Your account has been inactive for more than 24 months
9. Modifications to Service and Terms
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's rules.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Clinical Compass and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
Your use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any rights of another party
Any clinical decisions or patient care actions taken based on information from the Service
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
13. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Clinical Compass regarding the use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
